NEEDS A VACATION - William Lewis, 3, got so tired of waiting for his dad, Ollie Lewis, printer on the Nashville (Ga.) Herald, he decided to take a nap on the pressroom make-up stone.

John W. Gaskins, son of William and Jane (McMillan) Gaskins., circa 1870.
He served in Company I enlisting 22 August 1862. He was appointed 5th sergeant 1 January 1863. John was captured at Harpers Ferry VA 6 Apirl 1865 and was later released at Point Lookout, Maryland, 28 June 1865. John died in Berrien Co, GA. on 11 April 1898.
