Down Memory Lane with The Berrien Press
From the collection of Noble A. Hull of Augusta comes this picture for a trip Down Memory Lane with The Berrien Press to 1932 or 1933.  The store was located on the west side of the square and was the south half of the present Dixieland Store building adjacent to Union Pharmacy.  Shown in the grocery department of the store, left to right, are:  unidentified woman, Miss Lillian Daughtry, Mrs. E.C. Hackle, Jordan Boyd, Noble A. Hull, Allie Taylor, Newt Hughes, Elbert Nix, W.D. Alexander adn Henry Richardson, deliveryman.  The two boys were not identified.  Some of the current familiar brand names such as Pet Milk, Kellogg's Corn Flakes and Beechnut Tobacco can be seen on the shelves.
